Hyaluronic Acid and Healthy Joints

Have you ever wondered why is it that the older we get the harder it becomes to exercise and keep healthy and our joints become stiff?

First of all, a BIG part of the problem is our sedentary life style and lack of movement, which subsequently leads to insufficient production of synovial fluid.

Synovial fluid acts as joint lubricant and is produced in the main joints such as shoulders, hips and knees and released when we use those joint.

Secondly, as we age (approx. after 50ty) the body’s natural Hyaluronic Acid (HA) levels start decreasing, which reduces the effectiveness of synovial fluids and often leaving us with achy joints. The lack of HA is also responsible for our skin looking and feeling less smooth and supple with fine lines and uneven tone.

Hyaluronic acid in most recent years got lots of publicity through promotion of beauty products and treatments. However, its main role was always to protect our joints by creating cushioning effect, allowing the joints to move without pain as well as keeping us feeling young and looking healthy by retaining moisture and its healing ability.

So, if HA helps with reducing inflammation and pain and improves mobility and overall lifestyle but we are losing it with age can we replenish it?

Yes we can!  Ensuring our diet is full of food rich in HA food such as  soya food, veg with tubes, leafy green veg, seeds and nuts.

Apparently, one of the most effective way to help our achy joints and ligaments and nourish the body from inside out is to cook and consume bone broth – basically a home made soup starter.

Broth has been a staple in cultures around the world for hundreds of years.

My only advise would be: do not settled for the powder option or a pill. Getting creative – start cooking those delicious soup on the broth.

However, if you are looking for a quality supplement my favourite one is in the liquid form 100% natural from DuoLife.

I would like to refer you to an article below that I have found very helpful and informative about the natural replenishment of HA.
